In order to implement the spirit of government documents relating to the integration of industry and education, the deep cooperation between industry-university-research, to strengthen the combination of running schools and industries, and to promote the transformation and upgrading of universities, on April 11, Zhang Xiao led a team to Changzhou Institute of Technology, Changzhou University to investigate and learn, accompanied by the Personnel Department, Discipline Construction Department, Educational Affairs Department, Science and Technology Department and related staff.
In the morning, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Changzhou Institute of Technology, vice president Zhou Quanfa and related functional departments, the heads of the secondary colleges attended the exchange meeting. ZhouQuanfa introduced the course of school running , the present situation, the cultivation of talents, the integration of production and education, the construction of disciplines and scientific research, and so on. Zhang Xiao expressed sincere thanks for the warm reception of the Changzhou Institute of Technology. She introduced the unremitting efforts and achievements made by Jiangsu Open University since its renaming in the fields of discipline and specialty construction, the reform of the talent training model, scientific research, and so on.
In the afternoon, Zhang Xiao and her team visited the Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering of Changzhou University, the Virtual Simulation Center, the Center of Science and Innovation and the Heritage Museum Hall, and experienced the cooperative development of industry-university-research in the two fields of natural sciences and social sciences at Changzhou University. Su Xuping, vice president of Changzhou University, introduced the scientific research of Changzhou University and its support to the construction of discipline and specialty. Zhang Xiao listened to their experience and directed the staff to communicate with other departments of Changzhou University.
